On the heels of being named to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California’s Honor Roll of Pro Bono Volunteers, the American Bar Association (ABA) has chosen an article written by civil rights attorney, Bobbie K. Ross, for inclusion in the Fall 2012 edition of the Section of Litigation Pro Bono & Public Interest Committee newsletter. The article, entitled “DOJ Says Recording Police Is Constitutionally Protected Conduct,” discusses the United States Department of Justice’s recent issuance of a letter of guidance explaining what law enforcement agencies should do to be sure that citizens’ First Amendment rights are protected.
